So everyone. I'm going to Segovia, Spain this summer. I'm going for 6 weeks and it is going to be the best thing thats ever happened to me. I bought my plane ticket about 2 weeks ago: we leave June 19 in the afternoon and return August 2 in the evening. I'm taking two classes there - Spanish civilization and advance grammar and composition. We go to school Monday-Thursday, 9-noonish and every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, we travel around Spain. We go to Barcelona, Madrid, Pamplona, maybe Salamanca...I don't remember the rest. And yes, Pamplona is where the running of the bulls is, and yes, I will be there. I'm living with a host family who I hope will be great. It is going to be freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spanish - all the time <3.
I haven't gotten my itinerary yet, we don't get that until end of May. But I will absolutely tell everyone where I'm going and when.
Patrick is going to be in France while I'm in Spain, too. Wouldn't that be super neat to meet up with him in EUROPE?! Sometimes, I just love my life. Everytime I wake up and see that its super sunny outside, I think that I should be in Spain.
Segovia is about an hour north of Madrid, and its about the size of Romeo - maybe a little bit bigger which is so cool. You can walk everywhere. All of the host families live within a mile of each other so we can hang out all the freaking time!

This summer, this http://aha.waxwolf.com/programs/spain/segovia is where I'm going. Segovia, Spain. For 6 weeks...:) :) :) I've never been more exciting for anything in my life. Plans are to stay in Europe for an extra week or so and go to Morocco, Paris and Berlin. Why not, right? With two of my best friends? AH!@!! Granada, Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Pamplona...Yes, Pamplona. I will be in Spain to run with the bulls. Estare correr con los toros!
After next semester and Spain are done, I will have 4 classes left to graduate. I will be 100% done with history as of next semester. 3 more spanish classes and a lit (then masters for certification buuuutttt thats another story) and I'll have graduated! Thats only 1 semester. Holy cow. |

Some people are so freaking gross. And don't you always notice the really gross ones are the ones that post pictures EVERYWHERE of them doing sicko things? or they'll just go ahead and do them in public? Gross. Stop. You are gross. That is gross. There is so many people from high school that i just want to say....ew. to. but i'm sure they could say that to me. But whatever. i'm saying it first. and when people do really gross things to their hair over and over and over again. who told you it was hot the first time....because i'm sure that it's still ugly now. you fucking gross sicko.
:) but seriously. everyone crank it down a notch. things are out of hand. and i dont want to see you getting around mmk. oh not only that, but move on.
anyway. today smelled like spring and it was wonderful, which made me listen to imogen heap/frou frou, which made me feel good. not only that but I had jimmy johns today which is my favorite food in the world. And my friend chris got me a pickle from jimmy johns today and gave it to me during spanish. there's nothing better then the pickles from jimmy johns.
oh even better than that was i bought jimmy johns with money that someone dropped on the floor at ae that me and my friend got to split. it was only $7, but it almost paid for my entire jimmy johns! yes sir.
hm what else. we got a take home midterm for one of my spanish classes and it's due friday. Thats a plus fo sho. Um. out of the other 4 midterms i have this week, i'm feeling pretty confident in all of them which is delightful. I don't nanny this week since they're on midwinter break which is ALWAYS good because there's no one i hate more than that family.
and sergio made me pudding today. he loves me. he got me personalized m&m's from mymms.com :) I'm feeling good. |

I had the best week ever so far. I hung out with my 3 favorite boys yesterday. Every single one got a guitar. Dan lent his to Justin, and Sergio and Dan bought a bass and guitar. Then we all went to Texas Roadhouse. It was so yummy.
I've had a great week. I love my life.

Things are going so wonderfully. :) I just picked up another job. Woo hoo! But nannying is kicking my butt. Wait let me rephrase. The 10 year old boy, Alex is a PAIN in my butt. It's money though, right? so who cares. I'm watching Sergio's aunts kids, John and Luigi. They're my Tuesday Thursday mornings and nannying is monday-friday. American eagle is whatever other time i can fit it in. :)

and...it's fall. And it's perfect. And i'm having a great time with everything. And I feel better about lots of things and i have just gone to bed smiling for the past while and it's nice.
UofM vs. State Saturday which means thats an excuse for a party! I'm looking forward to Superbowl already. And sleepover tomorrow night with my favorite person. <3

I work like a madman this week. 31 hours! Oh i am so in need of money for a car. You don't even know. But whats super cool is that i work 31 hours in only 5 days. I have two off. Thats not bad at all. I think 4 hour shifts are the worst because they aren't that long, so you're constantly thinking about the time and how slow it goes by. When you work 8 hours, you know your in there for pretty much ever so you're just hanging around all day.
Every time I walk from the mall to my car in the past week or two, it's smelled like the fall. I wish it was the fall. I love it. But seriously. I think if i read my posts from the last howevermany years i've had this, this is about the time when i keep saying "I love the fall...It's so wonderful." Because it is! But anyway...when i'm old and die, i hope it's in October so i can be in heaven and have it be fall forever. Fall fall fall fall fall fall fall.
This is why fall is the most amazing season:
..It smells fantastic.
..The colors are indescribable.
..Everyone's in the swing of school.
..You get to wear a hoodie and jeans or cute sweaters. But mostly jeans.
..Football games!
..Fall makes you feel cozy no matter what your doing.
..When you take walks in the fall, you want to just press the pause button because it's so BEAUTIFUL!

..It inspires you to do things you normally wouldn't.

I had a really hard summer. I was on this medicine that made me go crazy. Well i thought so anyway. Maybe i was hoping it was the medicine so i wouldn't have to take responsibility for my rediculous behavior. It turned me into a monster. Every little thing that happened that wasn't the way it was supposed to be I thought about to the point where i'd get so sooo upset about it. What a terrible feeling. I finally went off this medicine and I think that it really was the medicine. Because I'm not as bad anymore. And there's been lots of changing going on with my friends and whatever. And i hate change. It's just hard for me because whats wrong with things going the way they are? I'm content. Lets just leave it. Buuuut change is inevidible, right?
I figured out that this time right now, in college, everyone is trying to figure out who they are and what they're about and what the need to and don't need to worry about. It's when everyone slims down not physically, but mentally. We all just want to relax and have fun. But it's hard because you have to really put the things aside that dont matter whatever blah blah blah. It's hard to explain. but I know what i'm thinking lol. Anyway. I think i'm starting to do that figuring out thing. I hope so anyway. If i'm not doing it, i'm going to force myself to.
I'm going to Spain next summer. It will be so amazing. Thats going to be hard for me but see, it's part of that figuring yourself out thing. I'm not going to lie, it will probably be the hardest thing i've ever done. Thats just not me. I'm a really big homebody and i like knowing whats going to happen everyday. I start paying for the trip in September so there isn't any turning back now!
I hope everything wiggles it's way out to be comfortable. Because that inbetween time in change, when it's the first initial step when EVERYTHING is different, thats the hardest. I'd like to just cruise on past that time and get to...OCTOBER! See thats when everything works out.

It's August and I want it to be October. While at California Pizza Kitchen today with Dan and Sergio, we found out our waiter was a spanish major at Oakland too! So me and Tim, the guy, got talking about spanish stuff and professors and whatever. As we leave, he gives me his email to talk about professors or whatever spanish stuff. In front of sergio. :( Oh I felt so terrible! but on a better note, I got another pair of glasses today. :) They are so pretty. |
